Description
Our client, one of the world's largest insurance companies is seeking a Data Quality Auditor with insurance industry experience to join their Data Office team.
You will be responsible for assessing risk and review controls over the quality of data used for key business decisions and regulatory reporting.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES will include:
- Understanding and documenting data flows across key business functions
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to determine the responsibility for data and data quality in key business processes
- Review of the data flows to identify data processing steps
- Documentation and testing of controls
- Documentation and reporting of identified control weaknesses and data quality issues, investigation of root cause and supporting data owners in the development and implementation of remediation plans
- Identifying personal information processing within the data flows, classifying data, recording it in the records of processing activities
- Maintenance of the relationship with key stakeholders across the company
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- An audit background, ideally in a general insurance environment.
- An understanding of regulatory requirements for data management in the insurance industry ie Solvency II
- A bachelor degree or experience in a related field (eg computer science, business administration, finance, internal / external audit)
- Experience in data governance, audit, risk management or a related area including at least one of the following:1) Review of risks and controls and development and reporting of remediation plans
processes, data flows, controls and business needs
3) data analysis, profiling, interpretation and reporting of results
- Data protection experience and an understanding of GDPR
