    Permanent Children's Social Workers, South Wales
    Salary: £34, £48,421.00 doe + £5000 annual enhancement payment

    Location: South Wales

    This position requires a Master's Degree or BA Honors in Social Work. You will not be considered for the position if you do not have these qualifications.

    Following significant investment into the Intake and Family Support Teams my clients are seeking to add capacity and build resilience and stability. As a Social Worker, you will have a manageable workload, excellent support and time to spend with children and young people.
    They are also developing their services to support a bespoke strength-based approach 'Building on Strengths. This approach recognises the expertise of their children, families and workers, and puts relationships at the heart of everything they do.

    Responsibilities of you as a Social Worker:
    • Ensure the best outcomes for the children and young people.
    • Provide support and protection for children and young people in need and at risk.
    • To manage and prioritise the workload, carry out duties using accountable professional judgement.
    • To undertake complex and high-risk cases or arrange complex or high value packages of care.
    • Support children and young people through robust assessment, outcome focused planning and effective intervention to support them in achieving positive outcomes within their families and communities
    • Conduct section 47 enquiries and establish whether longer term plans are needed for families.
    Requirements of you as the Social Worker:
    • Social Care Wales registration
    • A recognised Degree/Diploma or equivalent qualification in Social Work i.e. Degree, DipSW, CQSW etc.
    • A full UK driving licence
    • DBS clearance
    • Authority to work in the UK
    Salary: £34, £48,421.00 doe + £5000 annual enhancement payment
