Your New Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for
X2 permanent mobile Carpenter & Joiner/Fabric Engineer to join our Glasgow Schools account in Glasgow/Renfrewshire area.
The standard hours of work are 37.5 hours per week.
Amey delivers facilities and estate management services to the Glasgow Schools Private Finance Initiative across an estate of 30 schools (Europe's largest educational Private Finance Initiative).

We work in partnership with our clients and end-users to ensure our 24/7 services are delivered to the highest standard with minimum impact or disruption to day-to-day operational requirements of the schools.
You will be responsible for
- Carry out joinery work to include repairing of doors, windows, formwork and other bespoke building fabric items as well as planned maintenance within the sites.
- Measure and quote for works.
- Order materials.
- Maintain stock of Building Maintenance material.
- Organise and plan your daily work with the supervisor, to record and submit all details of work carried out on relevant works orders.
- Responsible for joinery workshop maintenance of school buildings, statutory inspections and repair of fire doors, able to carry out small decoration repairs housekeeping and cleanliness.
- This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
- Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
