We have an exciting opportunity to join the Clinical Coding Team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust as Clinical Coding Training and Audit Manager.
Managing an established team of NHS England Approved Clinical Coding Trainers and Auditors driving a comprehensive program of Training Courses and Audit.
Working closely with the Clinical Coding Team, Clinical Teams and Senior Management.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Coding Audit and Training Manager will develop and monitor a comprehensive programme of audit of clinically coded data to ensure compliance with coding standards. A key task will be to ensure that actions plans are developed and delivered against expected outcomes.
An expert/specialist, senior level coder who has attained the Accredited Clinical Coding (ACC) qualification and who is an approved Clinical Coding Trainer, TAP and has attained Approved auditor status
The role will also encompass the development of a comprehensive training programme for all staff within the team, linked to audit outcomes to ensure that staff achieve external coding accreditation and training and capabilities.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring all audit and training is delivered within the prescribed deadlines as specified within PbR guidance. The role will also plan and develop the audit and training service to meet future demands.
To develop Clinical Coding Training Courses in order to offer MTW Courses to external candidates as an income stream
