    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full Time Specialist Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) Pathway Coordinator (37.5hrs) to join our extremely busy Oncology/Haematology Booking Service based at Cheltenham General Hospital

    You will play a vital role in the booking and coordination of complex chemotherapy and treatment appointments, ensuring the delivery of a smooth and efficient administration service to our NHS and Private patients.

    This important role supports the Chemotherapy Outpatient Services in Oncology and Haematology for Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

    The ideal candidate will have previous experience of Trakcare and be confident in the use of other IT software systems.

    The Oncology and Haematology Booking Service is made up of 3 small but extremely hardworking and dedicated teams of coordinators across both departments.

    The SACT Pathway Coordinator will be welcomed into the team based in the Oncology Centre at Cheltenham General Hospital and will work across the service as required.

    Monitoring progress of referrals, identifying problems and taking appropriate actions to ensure efficient management of referrals
    To ensure accurate and timely data collection. NVQ in Administration level 3 or equivalent
    Appropriate year's experience in a hospital or office environment
    Previous booking office experience (or equivalent)
    Knowledge and awareness of health and safety issues, risk management, and data protection
    Trakcare and Database proficient
    Understanding and previous experience in medical terminology
    Excellent communication skills to deal with telephone calls and clinical team members with potentially distressing or emotional content
