Our client is a leading Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation contractor with projects across Ireland, UK, and Mainland Europe. Our client operates across multiple sectors including Data Centre's, Pharmaceutical, Microelectronics, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Education, and Energy from Waste. They are looking for a Design Manager to join them on a Data Centre project in South Wales.
Assisting in developing Design Delivery Schedule
Negotiate with consulting firms and secure the design from a consultant design partner from initial tender enquiry to appointment
Collaborating on new design issues /changes and research projects with team
Reviewing the completed design ensuring accuracy and precision
Managing design document control and prioritising design, assignment and management to designers
Leading with effective supervision, an experienced design team to ensure delivery on schedule and ensuring that project milestones are met
Participating in departmental strategic planning, design meetings and providing continual input to optimise design and minimise futile work.
Previous Data Centre experience is required for this role.
At least 5 years' experience from a design background witha contractor.
A proven track records of project management experience is an advantage.
