    Our multi-skilled sonographer team rotate across all three sites and provide a 7-day emergency service at the Lister, which is our acute site and is working towards 7 day working at the New QEII hospital to support the newly established Community Diagnostic Hub.


    We support sonographer development and training, and our sonographers are valued members of multi-disciplinary teams across obstetrics, gynaecology, vascular, Musculo-skeletal and general medicine.

    We support flexible working and have shifts working weekends and evenings.


    You will have a flexible attitude to support the team and the service across our region upholding the highest standards of care and professionalism.

    We support ongoing professional development and encourage involvement with in-house training schemes to expand clinical experience.

    Qualifications/Training
    Hold postgraduate accredited qualification in medical ultrasound
    Must have relevant skills/knowledge/experience in the range of ultrasound techniques required
    ~Be prepared to provide practical and theoretical training in medical ultrasound to specified staff and countersigning reports for trainees
    Possess full understanding of ethical and moral issues to enable delivery of bad news to patients in an appropriate manner
    Committed to providing a high quality ultrasound service for patients
    IT skills to use CRIS and PACS and have computer literacy

    Experience and evidence of engagement around equality, diversity and inclusion issues in relation to policy, service development and service delivery in respect of both services to users and the management of staff
    To be flexible with work patterns
    Experience in writing protocols and care pathways using research based evidence for best practice
