    We are looking for a Casual Chef de Partie who wants to be part of making The Martlet Kitchen a roaring success.

    In March 2024, Rochdale Town Hall opened its doors to the public, after being closed for 4 years due to major restoration works.

    Rochdale Town Hall is now attracting visitors from all over Greater Manchester, the North West, the UK and the world. We are so pleased at how much people are enjoying visiting this amazing building

    As part of its restoration, Rochdale Town Hall is soon to re-open its hotly anticipated on-site restaurant – The Martlet Kitchen. Open 7 days a week, in the daytime it will operate as a café lux offer. On Friday and Saturday evenings, it will offer a more luxurious dining experience with our award winning chefs cooking up delicious dishes using the finest local ingredients.

    Our ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in pastry, be enthusiastic, calm under pressure, organised and able to demonstrate exceptional pastry chef skills.

    This role will report to the Executive Chef and be responsible for managing some casual kitchen staff, when required.

    Evening and weekend work is expected.

    In accordance with Section 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 this post requires the ability to converse at ease with the members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
