Our client is an international leader in industrial bakery equipment. Home based role with travel.JOB DESCRIPTION:
As the Bakery Engineer, you will be reporting to the Customer First Manager, and you will be responsible for
- Servicing and Inspections of equipment.
- Breakdowns/Fault Finding.
- Reactive maintenance.
- Planned maintenance.
- Being part of an installation team on multimillionEuro projects.
- Supervision of installation teams on standalone projects.
- Commissioning and testing on a wide range of Bakery equipment, including high speed automated bakery lines.
- Ensure that all work carried out is to a high standard, resulting in less machine downtime.
- Project planning and producing method statements and risk assessments.
- Liaise with customers to build relationships and help with technical enquires.
- Compiling Inspection reports for customers.
- Liaising directly with suppliers for technical assistance.
- Working away from home to suit business needs.
- Overtime and weekend working to suit business needs.
- To promote our products at all times
- Equipment, spare parts and engineering.
- Completing all necessary paperwork in a timely fashion.
- Meeting with customers to discuss routine service and spares packages.
- Assisting the Area Sales Managers with sales of new equipment.
- Refurbishment of used equipment.
You will be an integral part of the Customer First Team and will play a pivotal role as well as influence the growth of the department.
LOCATION:
Home based
COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS:
UK and Ireland. Occasional working outside of the UK.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
We are interested in hearing from career-minded experienced service professionals with a background in the Food equipment industry (bakery, meat, fish, dairy).
Additionally, you will:
- Have a demonstrable track record of success and be selfdriven and resultsoriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality and business profit.
- Have good attention to detail and be a strategic and analytical thinker.
- Be a natural forward planner who critically assesses your performance.
- Be credible and comfortable in dealing with all levels
- Be a "gogetter", energetic and determined to succeed with an entrepreneurial streak.
- Be a strong negotiator with excellent people management skills, and be ambitious and resultsorientated.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- NVQ 3 qualified or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical engineering with a strong level of multiskilling.
- If you have worked on PLC systems, this would be seen as an advantage
- City And Guilds 18th Edition BS76
- You must be able to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics
- A good level of computer literacy, including MS Office
Desirable
- IPAF/MEWP
- City and Guilds 17 or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
You will receive the following:
a non-contributory Pension Scheme of 8% of your basic salary. You are welcome to contribute further yourself
- 25 days holidays p/a, not including public holidays.
- A fully expensed vehicle, including a fuel card, laptop, mobile phone, and a company float to the value of £1,000.
