Scope of Role:

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

Prioritise materials/issues through the supporting functions, e.g. Goods In, Stores, Dispatch, Purchasing, Engineering, etc
Liaising with the purchasing team on materials availability, quality of supply
Controlling traceability through the shop floor
Raise and control Works Orders in line with MRP
Review, decide and action MRP exception messages
Align with operations to forecast sales and site planning activities
Develop and continuously improve planning processes and procedures at Ametek.
Maintain MRP parameters in line with company policies
Proactive daily communication with Customer Services ensuring updates, issues and resolutions are shared in a timely manner
Appreciation / understanding of Aerospace / Medical traceability requirements
Lead and align a cross functional team to deliver customer requirements and Sales targets
Measured business drivers

Professional Knowledge & Experience:

Demonstrates solid analytical skills in forecasting and anticipating production needs and capabilities.
Proven ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations under pressure.
High competency level in use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, as a minimum)
Experienced in works order control
A proven understanding of traceability Experience of working with MRP systems is essential.
Proven ability to effectively represent the department at internal meetings and the presentation of Planning performance achievements
Continuous development of self
Ability to lead cross functional teams Operational teams.
Excellent interpersonal skills with good relationship building skills.
Ability to drive results and obtain information from a team.
A proven team player with creative problem solving skills.
