Job Profile
Working as part of CAFOD's Campaigns team, you will play a pivotal role in planning and delivering hard-hitting campaigns that tackle the root causes of global poverty and injustice.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Implementation
- Contribute to the development of campaign strategies and take responsibility for planning and implementing key areas of work.
- Lead on the delivery of campaigns events, actions and stunts.
Audience Development
- Support the growth of new audience groups for CAFOD campaigns.
- Manage key relationships with highengagement supporters.
- Input and manage supporter data in the CAFOD supporter database.
Communications
- Support the delivery and production of communications materials (digital and print) and ensure they are engaging for CAFOD's supporters.
- Maintain oversight of the Campaigns pages of CAFOD's website.
- Represent the Campaigns Team at relevant crossorganisational meetings and liaise with other teams to ensure mailings and other comms outputs are smoothly coordinated across the organisation.
External Representation
- Represent CAFOD campaigns team in external coalitions, including The Climate Coalition.
- Act as a spokesperson for CAFOD on the campaign with supporters or the media.
Person Specification
- Demonstrated experience of project management, ideally event management.
- Proven experience of working on successful campaigns for social change, preferably on international issues.
- A track record of strong written and spoken communications skills, including the ability to translate complex ideas into accessible materials for a wide variety of audiences.
- Understanding of the Catholic church and knowledge of the Catholic community in England and Wales.
- Experience of digital campaigning and developing social media outputs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with experience of working with multiple stakeholders, and as part of a team.
- Highly organised, able to manage a busy workload and consistently meet deadlines.
- Understanding of international development and global justice issues.
