Electronic Test and Repair Engineer - Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom - Incap Group

Description

• To carry out testing and repairs of complex electronic systems down to component level on digital and analogue circuits
• To repair CCTV equipment, PCs, UPS and switch modes power supplies
• To use a variety of test equipment including power supplies, oscilloscopes and spectrum analysers as required
• To follow electronic schematics, gerber files, CAD layouts, wiring diagrams and diagnostic fault trees and complex engineering instructions
• To work on electronic equipment and diagnose faults without the aid of a test specification, bill of materials, items list or electronic schematics where required and be able to develop supporting documentation for repeat repairs
• To maintain accurate process data/records/documentation associated with your work
• To adhere to health and safety standards, quality standards, policies and procedures
• To carry out 5S
• To provide improvement ideas to the Production Manager
• To collaborate with technical, quality and other departments when required

REQUIREMENTS

• HNC in electronics or equivalent
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Able to conduct root cause analysis
• A technical mind and ability to work with your hands
• Working knowledge of relevant machinery and equipment
• Knowledge of relevant safety and quality standards and procedures
• The ability to interpret technical specifications and information
• Continuous learning and development
• Background in Electronics Manufacturing
