    Legal Counsel

    Are you a skilled lawyer with a passion for commercial law and an eye for detail? We are looking for someone to thrive in dynamic environments where they can make a real impact – We are seeking a Commercial Legal Support Specialist to join us

    Job Purpose: As the Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in providing legal support across the LGC Group, including contract negotiation, compliance, and general legal advice. You will collaborate closely with key partners, develop relationships with business areas, and drive continuous improvement within our legal & risk function.

    Key Responsibilities:

    As a key member of the function, you'll be instrumental in delivering comprehensive legal support across the entire LGC Group. This includes managing a diverse range of customer and supplier agreements, ensuring that our business operations run smoothly and efficiently. You'll collaborate closely with the Head of Legal Strategy & Transformation to continually improve our working methods, harnessing the power of technology to enhance our productivity and effectiveness.

    In addition to your core responsibilities, you'll play a pivotal role in the ongoing development of our contract templates and workflow processes. By using our advanced contract workflow platform, you'll streamline procedures, saving time and resources while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. Drawing on your expertise in compliance matters, you'll contribute to the refinement of our practices, from developing standard contact clauses to updating compliance policies and providing invaluable business advice and training.

    Furthermore, this role presents a unique opportunity for you to engage with business-wide Artificial Intelligence projects, shaping the future trajectory of our organization. By demonstrating your legal skills and innovative thinking, you'll play a crucial role in pioneering new solutions and driving transformative change across the LGC Group.     Qualifications
    • Qualified lawyer (UK or US) with over 2 years PQE.
    • Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
    • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and sound judgment.
    • A flexible, pragmatic standout colleague who can work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks effectively.
    • Proficiency in implementing and using legal technology and data.
    • Working knowledge of privacy issues is advantageous but not essential.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
