    Operations Director

    Location: Home based with regular travel across the UK and Europe

    Salary: £100k plus car allowance and bonus

    We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking food retail and distribution lead to join our leading clients construction consultancy business. This role will be a mix between leading projects and bringing on new business for the business. So the ideal candidate must have the ability to lead projects and win new business.

    Project: Working with the Retail, Hospitality & Leisure team to lead some of their most innovative and sustainable retail and distribution projects and programmes for clients.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include

    • Lead client relationships, business development, and team management for all food retail and distribution accounts.
    • Direct and oversee a diverse team, providing guidance across various projects.
    • Drive the growth strategy for retail and oversee the development of project/account plans.
    • Support business development efforts in the Food Retail and Distribution markets.
      • Ensure quality assurance across all accounts.
    • Manage client relationships, ensuring delivery requirements are met.
    • Address challenges related to contracts and commercial operations.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on projects.
    • Offer growth opportunities and training to team members.
    • Possess expertise in various construction contracts (NEC, JCT, FIDIC).

    About You

    • We are seeking someone with a relevant degree qualification, preferably chartered or pursuing a similar professional qualification. Your digital proficiency, ability to cultivate enduring client relationships, and adept leadership skills are highly valued. Experience in UK food retail and distribution projects (with European exposure as a bonus) is essential.
    • Construction experience is essential
    • Consultancy background is desirable
