    Description

    Culmstock Primary School (which is part of the Culm Valley Federation) is looking to appoint a dedicated and inspirational class teacher within KS2. The position is available from 1 September 2024 and is temporary for one year initialy. We are happy to consider Early Career Teachers and part time teachers to work on a job share basis. We are looking for a teacher with a particular interest or experience in Maths or PE. The successful applicant will join a friendly, driven and supportive team.

    The position is temporary due to proposed school restructuring.

    Culmstock village is located in a very accessible location, just off the M5 motorway and the school is set in a beautifully rural location. We have a wonderful team of staff and highly supportive families with children eager to learn. Late in the spring term 2024, Ofsted visited the school and rated it as a GOOD school.

    The successful candidate will:

    • Ensure that children make accelerated progress to reach their full potential

    • Work collaboratively as part of team

    • Plan and teach exciting and purposeful lessons

    • Build positive relationships with children and adults

    • Have consistently high expectations of learning and behaviour

    • Build a caring and nurturing environment where children can thrive
