Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week.

This is an opportunity to join Bristol City Council Parks Service as a Landscape, Construction and Repair Operative. We provide formal parks, nature reserves, play areas and sports facilities, providing a vital free resource to Bristol citizens, important for the good health and wellbeing of every community.

What will I be doing?

As a Landscape, Construction and Repair Operative you will have an important role in making sure our parks, heritage estates and green spaces are welcoming, attractive and safe places to visit. You will repair, restore, improve park infrastructure and carry out small-scale hard- and soft-landscaping projects to ensure our parks are kept to high standards. You will be working across the city in some of Bristol's most high profile and important, Green spaces and Heritage sites.

What do I need to have?

We are looking for someone with experience in carrying out practical landscaping, horticultural and grounds maintenance tasks, carpentry and construction tasks. Someone who understands the importance of work being carried out to a high standard and meeting health and safety regulations.

You will have a flexible approach to work and you will need to be able to meet the physical demands of the role, working both in a small team and independently with minimal supervision.

You will need to be able to use a range of hand and powered tools and have a full UK driving license.

The post may operate across a range of sites throughout the city in all weather conditions.
