PHP Backend Developer - 1-2 days a week in Leeds (£40k - £50k)

THE ROLE:
You will be working on the next version of their eCommerce platform, moving it to a serverless environment using Amazon Lambda, and building end points to be consumed by the frontend, as well as creating and supporting high-performing and complex eCommercestores.
This will entail:
- Work with QA team to implement appropriate testing and mitigate regression
- Provide backend development resource to the wider business
- Build reusable code and libraries to improve efficiency and maintainability
REQUIREMENTS:
Essential:
- Experience working in backend web development.
- Good understanding and experience of a PHP MVC
- Symfony or Laravel (preferably the former)
- Use of ORMs such as Doctrine (and ideally SQL knowledge)
- Working regularly with APIs and Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc)
- Unit Testing
Desirable:
- Working knowledge of payment gateways
- API platform experience / Building restful API's
- Familiar with the use of Docker / Compose
