_Macildowie Recruitment and Retention_ have partnered with a multi-national automotive manufacturer to help them recruit a Category Manager, covering Engineering/MRO spend.

Following years of sustained growth, our client are now looking to add totheir growing team in Derby.

The Role

Oversight of spend for engineering, maintenance, repairs, capex.
Remit: 30% Tactical 70% Strategic.
Working as part of a 6 person team.
Working closely alongside other internal stakeholders engineering and operations.
Leading on endtoend bid/tender management processes.
Developing lasting relationships with suppliers.
Continuously looking for new ways to improve.
Compile data which pertains to supplier performance.
Monitor market trends and competitor strategies.
Has 4/5+ years experience within engineering and/or MRO.
CIPS, preferable but not essential.
Excellent communication skills.
Willing, cando attitude.
