- A degree ideally a first in a topic area relevant to electromagnetics.
- An understanding of electromagnetic theory (fields and waves, propagation and scattering), either through relevant courses or experience.
- Be competent in the use of data management and analysis software, such as Matlab or R.
- An understanding of electromagnetic modelling software tools, for example CST microwave studio or COMSOL Multi-physics.
- Eithera PhD or equivalent associated experience in the field of electromagnetics.
- Have a working knowledge of electromagnetic modelling software tools, for example CST microwave studio or COMSOL Multiphysics.
- Desirable – experience in leading technical projects, including the mentoring of junior staff members.
- Desirable – a track record in the technical delivery of scientific research in a relevant field, particularly with respect to electromagnetic measurements.
