Who you'll be supporting & more about the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a
skilled and experienced specialist support worker to work in a brand new and rewarding service.

You will be supporting a female with complex learning difficulties and mental health support needs, to lead her best life possible.

We are looking to recruit a very special team for
day and night shifts for an amazing woman who is looking to finally realise her dream of moving into her own home.

She has experienced a lot in her 21 years and will need a large team of talented and kind staff around her.

She is right at the start of her independence journey and will need lots of support and understanding while she navigates through this.

She brings a very quick
sense of humour, a big
love of pizza and a very stylish
taste in music She canalso be very
funny and sweet.

However, there won't be time to rest on your laurels - this role is going to be full on, and is going to need a highly skilled and patient team, as she is also capable of verbally and physically challenging behaviours.

You will need to be cool, calm and resilient too

We are recruiting now to assist her move from hospital to her temporary home in Fareham, and then from April 2024, she will be moving to her brand new home in Southampton.

Your values:

If you do not have a qualification, you will need to have experience in social care and be prepared to take on additional training, that we will support you to complete.

You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues.

We will develop your talents with a range of specialist training, including the opportunity to learn Positive Behaviour Support methods, Makaton and the Picture Exchange System.

During recruitment you will meet the person we support and their family.

This will allow you to see their wonderful personality first-hand and fully understand the level of support that they require.

Naturally it is important too that you share our company values - We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable, which are at the heart of everything we do and ensure that we deliver high quality, consistent care and support.
