The Company Overview:

Butler rose are partnered with a well-established manufacturing company based in North Manchester. A fantastic opportunity to join a close knit and growing environment.

As an Accounts Assistant, you will be completing the end-to-end Credit Control process with timely & effective collection of outstanding debts as part of a small finance department.

My client now has an immediate requirement for an Accounts Assistant and as a result, you will need to be either immediately available or available at short notice.

This is a permanent position working in the office 5 days a week.

Your new role as an Accounts Assistant:

Your duties will include:
Escalation of overdue debt to solicitors and ongoing liaison with them during the process.

Generation of monthly sales journals & inputting of purchase invoices and nominal journals.

Monthly generation of sales reports.

Taking ownership of part of the Sales Ledger & proactively working to a monthly target.

Query resolution via liaising with both internal & external customers.

Accurate posting & allocation of payment daily.

New account opening procedure, credit references, accurate recording of data.

Account reconciliation where required.

Generation of daily invoices and monthly statements.

Taking & processing credit card payments over the phone.

Managing orders held/stop list in a timely manner.

Generation of overdue letters to customers

Other duties including assisting Sales Ledger, Payroll and Reception cover where required.

The Experience & Qualifications Required:

Part Qualified AAT/ ACCA/ CIMA

Excel skills - Vlookups and pivot tables would be an advantage

Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment as well as prioritise and manage own workload effectively to achieve objectives

A background in credit control working in a target focused environment showing an ability to proactively achieve result is ideal

Experience working in the manufacturing sector would be preferable but not essential

Your Reward & The Package On Offer:

As an Accounts Assistant you shall receive:
A salary of £23,000 - £25,000 depending on experience
