As a Project Engineer, you will be pivotal in driving the success of various projects across our client 5 UK manufacturing sites.
Project Management:
Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned projects to ensure timely and efficient completion.
Ensuring adherence to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
Contractor Management:
Sourcing, raising orders, and managing contractors to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Machinery Installation:
Ensuring successful installation and functionality of machinery.
Learning the full range of products and quality standards to organize trials and materials efficiently.
Walking the site to ensure contractors follow on-site rules, have necessary resources, and to obtain updates on work progress.
Working within a three-person team to manage various aspects of project delivery including power supplies, air supplies, wood dust extraction, machinery unload, install, trials, sign off, chairing meetings, and delivering project requirements.
Overseeing procurement, financial reporting, delivery, installation, services installation, machinery testing, and sign off.
Advanced MS Office skills.
Proven work experience as a project engineer.
Capability to chair on-site meetings, provide updates, and receive feedback on existing projects.
Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team to ensure project delivery.
Seeks answers independently without immediate guidance.
Project Scope:
You may be expected to manage 10-20 projects simultaneously, with some projects exceeding £5M.
