Job Title:
Quality Inspector


Reports to:
Quality Manager, Production Manager, Directors


Based at:
Blackburn


Salary - £27,100 per annum


Job Summary:


Key Tasks and Responsibilities:


  • Achieve and promote customer quality expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with the internal quality system and drive changes where identified.
  • Assist with the creation of quality control documentation.
  • Assist with customer visits, samples, and audits.
  • Work with the team to realise qualityfocused procedures and processes.
  • Using the ERP system to record checks on individual jobs.
  • Attend work on the shift times established by the employer without excessive absenteeism or lateness.
  • Arrive and be ready to work at the time your shift starts.
  • Adhere to and promote health and safety requirements.
  • Always wear supplied and appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Work a reasonable amount of overtime to meet the needs of the business.

Key skills:


  • ISO 9001:2015 trained/aware.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Ability to use basic measuring equipment such as tape measures, Vernier Callipers, and protractors.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Flexible approach.

Qualifications/Experience:


  • Experience within an engineering environment.
  • Sheet metal experience is advantageous.
  • Experience within a continuous improvement environment.
  • Experience in driving and delivering quality procedures.
  • Six Sigma/Lean/5s/Kaizen, trained/aware would be advantageous.
  • Minimum grade C in GCSE Maths and English.
