Rotational shift pattern + 20% uplift in hourly rate (After Training)
Do you have a background in programming, setting and operating CNC Machinery?

Are you looking for an exciting new position in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility?

This could be the role for you

Programming, Setting and operating computer controlled optical grinding/polishing machines (5 and 3 axis and 2 axis lathes)
Carrying out first off inspections using handheld gauges, Micrometers and Vernier's and Optical metrology
Engineering precision optical lenses and components, working to tight tolerances i.e.+/ microns down to nanometres
Maintain all production documentation as per the relevant procedures such as route cards, time sheets, traceable data logs and any other department related documents.
The ability to program, set and operate CNC machinery, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
The ability to read and edit programmes would be advantageous but not essential
Having a detailed understanding of engineering drawing, tooling selection, work holding and cutting strategy
Good with problem solving and results orientated
Ability to work on own initiative
Good manual handling skills
