ABOUT THE JOB
Whilst working as part of the Mezz Floor Team, ensure the efficient operation of Automatic Defect Removal equipment to company requirements and specifications

  • Start up; check all ADR's and Optisort. Alter programmes for machines for product specifications being run. At all times, with the need for constant visual alertness, carry out adjustments as required for efficient running.
  • Uses own discretion to program computers to always give best efficient defect removal according to product being run and make appropriate adjustments whilst ensuring appropriate recoveries.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and procedures fully, accurately and without omissions, i.e., ADR performance check sheets, safe isolation, startup check sheets and cleaning records.
  • Carries out cube test and defects in/out test to determine the level of defects as required, carrying out any adjustments necessary to achieve greater efficiency. Input data into computer
  • Strip and rebuild cutter wheels and manifolds, replacing broken or missing blades. Carry out hourly checks on cutter wheels during normal running, record results in log.
  • Continuously monitor and maintain the condition and cleanliness of the ADR belts and equipment to ensure maximum performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure a full CIP and learn light is done at the start of every shift to maximise machine performance and efficiency.
  • Check all interlocks at the start of every shift, completing appropriate paperwork and report any faults immediately after making the equipment safe.
  • Makes sure the grading screens are at the correct sizing for the product being run.
  • Assists the engineers with general maintenance tasks on and around the ADR's as well as carrying out any routine maintenance tasks as requested by the Senior lead.
  • Report any faults or malfunctions to the Senior and Engineers
  • Makes themselves conversant with any modifications, updates or new equipment installations relevant to them
  • Ability to carry out all duties with due regard to company safety and working practices
  • Assists in cleaning the department/s to an AIB Gold Standard
  • Ensure your personal safety and that of all personal including others who may be affected by the Company's activities
  • Challenge unsafe behaviours
  • Adhere to the duties required for your role within the Health and Safety policy.
  • Promote and enforce behaviours and actions that will prevent all contamination threats to products whether physical, microbial or chemical.
  • Escalate immediately reporting on the status of any noncompliance in the system or process to management for counter measure or immediate remedy

Based at our Whittlesey plant, you will be responsible for Setting up the palletising system to run - including pallet dispenser, banders, all roller tracks, all conveyors, and auto-palletiser)
