Job summary
Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint substantive Consultant Haematologists to join our friendly, dedicated, and enthusiastic clinical haematology team at Wirral University Teaching Hospital (WUTH).
These are full time (10 programmed activities) posts for Consultant Haematologists, with potential job plan outlined within the job description, but for negotiation with the successful candidates. The post holders will contribute to the provision of outpatient and inpatient care, participate in the out-of-hours on-call service and contribute to laboratory service. The successful candidates will also participate in the in-patient haematology referral reviews and consultant on-call rota, which will be a 1 in 6 frequency.
Our Haematology Consultant team at Wirral University Hospital Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, currently comprises of WTE Haematology consultants covering Haematology services across Arrowe Park Hospital. This department is supported by one Specialist Registrar, two F2s and one CT2. In addition, there is one Nurse Consultant, WTE Specialist Nurses and WTE Support Nurses covering the Arrowe Park site.
The successful candidate will also be provided with a designated office, secretary and computer. All newly appointed consultants will also be offered a consultant mentor.
