The Role


Are you interested in joining a team at the heart of Client Assets (CASS) ? We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in data and risk to help support our processes, undertake data analysis, produce management information and maintain our record keeping, including our Risk Register.


The Operations team in ReSOC (Resolution Strategy, Operations and Client Assets) collects, manages and analyses data from a number of sources e.g.

Client Money and Asset Return (CMAR), CASS audit reports, breach notifications and queries from firms as well as other supervisory channels.

This data is used to inform our management information, assessment of risk and decision making.

What does this job involve?

  • Understanding the path to harm and how to help reduce harm from firm failure
  • Processing CASS audits, breach notifications and queries
  • Analysis and preparation of data for presentation at department meetings
  • Maintenance of the ReSOC triage process and meeting actions
  • Managing data feeds in the department and updating MI where applicable
  • Update and maintain the department Risk Register
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders where relevant

  • Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills and an open and questioning mind being curious about the data we receive and related processes
  • Experienced user of MS Excel and motivated to develop other report writing skills using reporting tools such as Hue and Tableau
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external parties
Essential

  • Experience of extracting and analysing data from various sources
  • Excellent teamworking skills and proven ability to build and sustain good working relationships
  • Good prioritisation and time management skills
  • The ability to evaluate competing work priorities on an ongoing basis to ensure that workstreams stay on track, escalating matters where appropriate. The ability to stay focused and drive work to a successful and timely conclusion, seeking support from colleagues when required. Ensure work is completed to a high standard
  • Sound decisionmaking on matters that are within agreed scope and the ability to recognise and escalate more complex matters clearly and effectively
  • Motivated by and respond positively to challenge
  • Ability to present the outcome of analysis clearly and effectively, orally, in writing or through presentations
Desirable

  • Experience of using SQL or Phyton
  • Awareness of the CASS regime and motivated to develop knowledge in this specialist area of regulation
