Are you passionate about supporting carers to lead fulfilling lives and achieve a healthy balance in their caring roles? Our client, a thriving local independent charity, are keen to expand their team and a seeking a temporary Carers Caseworker.

This position offers a hybrid working system, primarily home-based with regular weekly work at the London Office.

As a Carers Caseworker, you will be an integral part of a growing, friendly, and dynamic team.

Your responsibilities will include conducting carers assessments, devising personalised support plans for unpaid adult carers and building relationships with partner organisations to raise awareness about carer's rights and needs.

You will be an empathetic individual, committed to supporting carers possessing excellent organisation and ICT skills.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Conducting detailed carers assessments and support plans.
  • Making referrals to appropriate support services and ensuring followups.
  • Empowering carers to manage their role effectively.
  • Collaborating with other organisations to address carers' needs.
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to reports for management and funding bodies.
  • Providing emotional support to carers in times of crisis
  • Managing administrative duties at a high level.
To be considered for the role you will have the following, skills, knowledge, and experience:

  • Extensive experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds with varying needs.
  • Competent in independently managing caseloads and maintaining comprehensive case notes.
  • Demonstrated expertise in facilitating support groups for a diverse clientele.
  • Skilled in establishing external partnerships through proactive outreach and networking.
  • Exceptional ability to balance tasks efficiently in a demanding environment.
  • Strong collaborative and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft programs and managing databases for report generation.
  • Some knowledge of issues affecting unpaid carers.
  • Enthusiastic about delivering highquality services to carers.
  • Proactive with a keen eye for detail.
  • Committed to promoting equality and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Aligned with the values of the charity.


To make a success of this role, you will be expected to have managed your own caseloads and have experience in assessments and conducting reports.

This is a crucial few months for our client, so you will need to hit the ground running.
