We are seeking an inspirational NMC/HCPC registered healthcare professional to come and be part of our clinical education leadership team.

This 9 month fixed term opportunity is an exciting opportunity to provide strong leadership and direction across non-medical pre-registration education at CUH.

Working with the Head of Non-Medical Education you will be responsible for leading all non-medical pre-registration education/placements and all aspects of pre-registration education governance across the organisation alongside an ambition and commitment to delivering the highest quality patient care.


  • Lead, promote, and facilitate a safe and positive learning environment for all nonmedical preregistration students
  • In partnership with Higher Education Institutions (HEIs):
  • Coordinate and facilitate the educational/placement activities of all preregistration students
  • Promote evidenced based learning in the development of practice and ensure all Trust based teaching reflects current curriculum content and structure
  • Work effectively in partnership with the HEIs to manage student placement mapping, ensuring an individualized approach to enable all students to meet their course requirements
  • Work collaboratively with Health Education England (HEE)/NHSEI regarding placement expansion and placement assurance
  • Create practicebased opportunities for learning to reinforce the classroom based theory so that students achieve the requirements to complete their programme of study
  • Ensure support for students in practice by monitoring the provision of continuing professional development of Practice Assessors, Supervisors, and Educators.
  • Determine the optimal ratios of assessors in practice for students and develop a strategy to meet and maintain this objective.
  • Prioritise wellbeing of students and oversee pastoral care to all nonmedical students across the organisation and wider experience settings. Escalate concerns to appropriate HEIs where appropriate.
