    Description
    We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to Join our Specialist Lymphoedema service.

    The successful applicant will work countwide, visiting patients in their own homes supporting Community Nursing Services with the management of lymphoedema from an office base in Peterlee.

    The team work between the hours of 08:30-17:00 Monday to Friday.

    Sucessful applicants will be required to hold a first level nursing registration with the NMC, additional training specific to the role can be provided.

    Offer advice and support to community nursing teams delivering care to patients with lymphoedema
    We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham.

    We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

    The sucessful candidate will provide specialist lymphoedema care including wound care, assessment and measuring for garments, reviewing plan of care.

    The role involves assessment of patient care needs, care planning, delivery of care and review.

    The sucessful candidate will be required to work independently as part of the wider Specialist team reporting back to senior staff on duty.

    Flexible
    Able to travel across Trust sites to meet the requirements of the post

    Awareness of Health and Safety / Clinical Governance issues.
    Evidence of Continuing Professional Development

    Evidence of a passion for the care of patients with Lymphoedema

    RGN with current NMC registration
    Excellent standards of nursing care

    Community experience
    Lymphoedema training

    Experience in Nursing
    Nursing experience in a community setting
    1st Level Registration with the NMC (Adult)
