Description
We are looking to recruit aHealth & Safety Advisor for our client based in Peterlee. This is an excellent opportunity for a likeminded individual to support the H&S side of the business to continually meet the relevant standards required. This role would suit an organised individual, with a drive to maintain excellent standards.
Duties as a Health & Safety Advisor:
- Being responsible for Health & Safety documentation
- Developing and maintaining relevant H&S standards
- Dealing with reports and project activities
- Keeping up to date with CPD and legislation
- Ensuring relevant programmes and systems are in place
- Training staff, providing advice and implementing procedures
- Carrying out inspections and retaining accreditations
- Assisting with projects and actioning various risk assessments
- Working closely with the HSQ Manager
- Maintaining communication and meeting objectives
- Arranging visits and carrying out documentation
Skills we are looking for:
- Experience working in a Health & Safety environment/role
- NEBOSH / TECHIOSH qualified
- Experience in a manufacturing/construction background
- Excellent communication skills on all levels
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- A keen eye for detail
- A good knowledge of audit
