Description
We are recruiting for a Finance Manager to join our client based on the outskirts of Newark.Reporting directly to the Finance Director you will be responsible for managing the accounts team, conducting day-to-day finance actions.
Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax requirements. Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities as necessary.
Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the group.
Conduct thorough financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making by senior leadership.
Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and implement cash management strategies to mitigate financial risks and maximise returns on investments.
Management of procedures to safeguard assets and maintain the integrity of financial data.
Delivery of accurate strategic financial plans, collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term financial strategies aligned with the business goals and objectives.
Management of the finance staff across the Group, attending business premises and providing cover during absences to ensure continuity of the role.
Provide guidance and support to finance staff members, promoting their professional growth and development.Professionally qualified in accountancy (ACA,ACCA,CIMA)
Proven experience with over 5 years in a senior finance role, preferably within a group or multi-entity environment.
Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
Good knowledge of PAYE and VAT and management accounts.
Knowledge of financial software, specifically Sage, Quickbooks and payroll packages
Advanced Excel skills.
5 hours per week, Mon – Fri.
~25 days annual leave per year plus bank holidays. Entitlement up to 28 days with service.
