    Recruit 2 You are delighted to be representing our well established client based in Derby, who are looking to appoint a new Head of Finance.

    As the new Head of Finance you will work closely with the Managing Director, to oversee and develop a small finance team.

    You will be responsible for all day-to-day financial management including all internal and external reporting.

    Your responsibilities as the new Head of Finance:

    • Monthly management accounts preparation for review by the Senior Management with responsibility for the month end accounting, general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, compliance, and stock management
    • Control of working capital, cash-flow and managing bank relationships
    • To support the MD and the company in the budgetary planning and forecasting processes including preparation of the annual budget and updated forecasts
    • Oversee the annual audit and tax computation preparation, including liaison with the auditors.
    • To develop and lead the evolution of the Company's financial reporting processes, including ownership and development of the costing and business management systems.
    • To ensure that the company's financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.
    • Liaison with external bodies - HMRC, Insurers, auditors banking and investors
    • ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualified with at least 10 years PQE.
    • You will have previously worked as the Head of Finance/Financial Controller within a manufacturing SME environment and be capable of making sound Financial Decisions.
    • A strong relationship builder you will act as Financial Business partner and ensure an increased awareness of the financial implications of high-level decision making.
    • IT literate with advance Excel skill
