Strategy & Operations Lead (AMET) -London/Remote- 12 Months
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing and driving budget management and corporate reporting for the AMET Policy team to support the leadership team.
- Gathering and understanding the needs and interests of the AMET region and how this will position in the Global Policy Structure.
- Working with XFN and Global partners to establish resources and jobs that meet the operational needs of the region and the growing policy team.
- Ensuring the effective and smooth running of all operations, from offsites, briefings and internal communications.
- Drafting and Managing key VP and team communications including biweekly newsletter.
- Establishing and maintaining AMET's own Knowledge Base. Responsible for take up of CRM in the region and expanding the tool to work for the region.
- Drive knowledge systems and budgeting processes for AMET Public Policy
- Monitor progress on objectives and budget spend, ensure accountability
- Partner with regional and functional teams in the planning process to align on goals and maintain clear communication channels
- Develop, implement and maintain knowledge management and best practice sharing tools e.g. build and maintain a share point / wiki for information sharing across AMET
- Develop platforms for best practice sharing e.g. sessions with experts, trainings
- Coordinate inputs from the AMET policy team to support informed and datadriven decision making and recommendations to central teams e.g. on policy and product changes
- Maintain a resourcing model for datadriven decision making on resource allocation across the region
Skills/ Experience:
- A degree or advanced degree in business/strategy, political science, economics, legal, or related field
- Professional experience in designing, driving and managing projects and with budgets. Highly skilled at Excel.
- Detail and structure oriented and the ability to manage a wide range of requests, projects, etc. driven by business priorities
- Excellent judgment, excellent communication and persuasive skills, creativity, perspective, the ability to work with mínimal supervision in a dynamic environment
- Ability to move things forward by sound judgment and influence
- Experience with analytical approach to business issues
- Strong interest in the public policy environment and dynamics
- Experience working with and documenting for executives or officials
- Superb written and oral communications skills. English is essential, further languages from the region are an advantage (eg Arabic/ French/ Amharic/Turkish)
- Strong interpersonal skills, and capacity to build a variety of strong cross functional relationships based on trust and respect
