Health & Safety Manager (Machinery & Automation)Our client has been established for almost a quarter of a century and are recognised as market leaders in the provision of bespoke innovative materials handling and automation solutions to a diverse range of clients and industry sectors throughout the UK, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of exciting strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced CMSE qualified Senior Health & Safety professional to complement their dynamic and professional team.
Conducting and assisting with machine risk assessments during the design phase to ensure Machinery Directive requirements are met and assisting projects during the development and installation phases in order to ensure that all H&S and safety rules, guidelines and policies are understood and adhered to at all times.
Liaising with the design team and other departments as required, utilising excellent communication and influencing skills to ensure safety systems are integrated and risks are assessed and adequately managed.
Keeping abreast of new machinery directives and legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all HSE legislation whilst maintaining existing company policies and proceduresCMSE – Certified machinery safety expert qualified
To be considered for this exciting opportunity within a genuinely unique environment, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will demonstrate at least 5 years' experience gained within a special purpose machinery design or manufacturing environment with experience ideally gained within an industrial automation or engineering environment and be Certified Machinery Safety Expert (CMSE) qualified.
