    We're looking for a Section Engineer to join our Transportation team to work on our A417 project based in Gloucester.

    Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire - site based

    Contract: Permanent, Full time

    Salary: Up to £50k + Car + Benefits

    Responsibilities

    As a Section Engineer, you'll be an integral member of the team who will be responsible for the management of sections of the A417 project. You will assist the Sub Agent in order to achieve project delivery to the customer objectives. In addition, you will maintain high standards of health and safety, environment and quality and have commercial awareness whilst ensuring the wellbeing of your team and everyone around you.

    Your day to day will include:

    • Ensure that adequate monitoring and supervision arrangements are maintained and clearly defined areas of responsibility for contractors are established and implemented
    • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the Scheme Management Plan (SMP)
    • Ensuring that all accidents are reported immediately to the Health & Safety Manager and/or Environmental Manager
    • Responsible for quality on the scheme and demonstrate a personal commitment to implementing the Kier quality management system and attainment of the company/sector/site targets
    • Ensure the Project team maintain planning and programming through Design phase and construction process and that this is communicated to all parties

    What are we looking for?

    This role of Section Engineer is great for you if:

    • Have a relevant construction related degree/HNC
    • Have experience in Highway major projects
    • Holder of CSCS and SMSTS card and National Highways Passport
