About the Department: The Student Advice & Wellbeing team sits within the Student Academic Services directorate. The department is comprised of a number of specialists across various areas, and is where our Multi-Faith Chaplaincy team are based. Student Advice & Wellbeing are often the first port of call for students in need of mental health support, disability support, immigration & finance advice, accommodation allocation and multi-faith support.
About the Role: The Jewish Chaplain role forms a part of our faith based and spiritual support provision for students here at SOAS. The role holder will provide pastoral support to students, will work closely with the Student's Union, will support school-wide during relevant faith-based celebrations and events, will contribute to wider Student Advice & Wellbeing initiatives and will work in collaboration with other chaplains within the service to deliver a supportive, inclusive and tolerant service to all students.
Our multi-faith chaplaincy team form an important part of our student support system here at SOAS. Faith can intersect with many areas of a student's journey, and the role holder will work with others within Student Advice & Wellbeing and beyond to support our Jewish community
