Location: Esteem North Academy, new site in Chesterfield or surrounding area
Travel to all academy sites, and pupil's homes on occasion, may be expected with mileage expenses available to be claimed from the nominated base.
Grade/Scale: MPS/UPS +SEN1 Actual Salary £30,000 to £46,525 +£2,539
Start date: September 2024
Contract: Permanent, Full time
It is a really exciting time in the academy's development as we look to expand our provision, enhance the curriculum offer and build a reputation as the alternative provider of choice in the county. We have made some really exciting appointments in the last year at a time where recruitment presents it challenges and we are now looking to offer a full -time permanent contract for a teacher to join our academy.
We are looking to recruit an experienced and inspiring teacher to join our academy to teach English at our new site which will be sourced in the Chesterfield or surrounding area. The site will house pupils in KS3 and KS4. The staffing teams are small compared to mainstream schools and the post will suit a teacher who will take ownership of their subject and is willing to be flexible to meet the needs of the pupils and the academy. Classes may have up to around 10 pupils and you will be an allocated form tutor to a class. We deliver GCSE Person 2.0, entry level and Functional Skills.
We welcome applications from candidates who are able to plan and teach engaging and inspiring lessons to challenging and disengaged KS3 and 4 pupils. This is an English teaching position however, experience in the delivery of other subjects may be advantageous.
An allocated base will be named for payment of mileage and any travel calculation between sites for CPD or for engaging in off -site rewards trips etc. Candidates must have access to a vehicle and car insurance with business use included. We do offer blended learning packages and pupils may be visited at home.
