    Research and Development Engineer

    Hours - Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

    Do you have experience in design and development using AutoCad Inventor software?

    Have you a experience in sheet metal fabrication in a busy manufacturing environment?


    We have an exciting opportunity in Sittingbourne for a Research and Development Engineer to work for one of our clients.

    They are well established and their name is synonymous with quality and excellent customer service. In this role you will be working full-time.

    Design and development- using Autocad Inventor CAD software


    • Project planning - developing and administrating of roadmap project planning process so projects are introduced on time and within budget
    • Drawing office administration - drawing/specification/report approval and systemised control of all R+D related documentation within QA system
    • Information gathering at the initial stages of projects will form a major part of the job role, maintaining accurate project information throughout
    • Keep abreast of current trends, practices, market developments and regulatory changes that impact on the company's products
    • Prototype testing (both in-house and external) and documenting reports. ERP system - Involvement/maintenance of any area within the ERP system, but primarily BOMs, components, routings, configurations and cutting sheets will be necessary for existing and new products. Collation of data, of which accuracy and attention to detail is critical
    • Innovation project management including project scope, specification, budget and timeline. Project status reports
    • A minimum of 5 years' experience in sheet metal fabrication in a busy manufacturing environment
    • Minimum of 3 years drawing office experience. Competence in use of 3D CAD /CAM software drawing methods and drawing control
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
