An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Band 8a principal clinical scientist role.

You will be required to show that you are dynamic and highly motivated with a proven, high level of scientific skill and expertise.

HCPC Registration as a Clinical Scientist in the modality of Genetics is Mandatory.

You will have achieved success in the first written examination component of the FRCPath examination (Genetics, or Molecular Genetics, or Cytogenetics) or be actively working towards this.

The role will be based at our Manchester laboratory site.

Must be State Registered Cllinical Scientist in sub-modality of Genetics
Must have written component of FRCPath part 1 in one of Genetics options

PhD in Genetics/Genomics

Evidence of ambition to progress career from past history as given in application
Evidence of innovation work which has resulted in a service development (science or leadership)
Evidence of managing and leading in a genetic laboratory section
Evidence of reporting complex laboratory results correctly
Evidence of proactive role in teaching or training
