?Key responsibilities

  • Execution of FX and futures trades
  • To minimise transaction costs and use trading metrics to improve execution performance
  • Monitor market liquidity, positions, rolls and exposures
  • Adhoc duties such as P&L reporting and monitoring global news events and data releases
  • Understand the "big picture", the implications of actions on others, compliance issues etc
  • Preserving the confidentiality of pretrade information both internally and externally
  • Monitoring local holidays in traded markets; and
  • Close of business tasks and end of day procedures
In addition, there will be longer term project work as the role develops.


Skills, experience, and qualifications

  • Quick learner with solid problem solving and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg
  • Understanding of Order Management and Execution Management Systems
  • Familiarity with the mechanics of FX and futures markets
  • STEM, Finance or Economics graduate from a top university
  • Previous directly relevant experience at least 1 year of trading desk experience

Nice to have

  • Previous exposure to systematic strategies
  • Ideally a good proficiency in VBA & R
  • Currently or previously approved to perform the CDF function pursuant to the FCA's conduct rules.
  • Any relevant professional qualifications
