    Description

    We are currently looking for an Electrical Technician/Panel Wirer to join us in Heywood working within a small team of skilled and semi-skilled electricians, building electrical appliances from wiring diagrams.

    As part of this skilled team, you will have the opportunity to drive the success of an integral business function, which in turn, will make a positive impact on our organisation as a whole.

    This is a permanent, full-time role but part-time would be considered.

    • Hours are Monday – Thursday: 7am – 3.30pm and Friday: 7am – 1pm (Part-time considered)
    • Annual bonus based on company performance.

    Location

    Our clean, bright 63,000 site in Heywood, Lancashire is the largest containment factory in the North West, just minutes from the M66 and M62. We have invested £1m in our facility, with state of the art machinery and great staff facilities including showers, canteen and plenty of on-site parking.

    Your Role

    As an Electrical Technician/Panel Wirer , you will be part of a team of skilled and semi-skilled electricians, building electrical appliances from wiring diagrams and maintaining the applicable standard operating procedures and for the upkeep of all electrical test records. We test 100% of our products. Specifically, you will:

    • You will be hands-on, working within a small team of skilled and semi-skilled electricians, building electrical appliances from wiring diagrams
    • You will be responsible for maintaining the applicable standard operating procedures and for the upkeep of all electrical test records
    • You will ideally have experience of working as part of a production electricians' team, and have good quality workmanship that upholds company standards, complies with wiring designs and follows safety requirements
    • You will have extensive experience of working with drawings, specifications and wiring diagrams to identify appropriate materials, sequence of operations and build electrical sub-assemblies.

    About You

    To join us, you will need:

    • To be qualified to 18th edition and have a working knowledge of IEE regulations
    • Ideally to have City & Guilds 2360, 2382 and 2391 qualifications
    • Knowledge of the following regulations: BS EN 60204, BS EN 61010, BS EN 60079
    • Significant experience and working knowledge of electrical systems, be able to fault-find, and carry out system diagnostics and risk assessments
    • To be self-motivated, with a results driven approach
    • Good problem-solving skills, always seeking to improve performance.
