    International Technical Sales Manager – Power Distribution Systems

    International Remit as Technical Sales Ambassador, Working on Major Projects

    We have been retained by our client, a successful, design, manufacture and supply group, to appoint a commercially focused International Technical Sales Manager – Electrical Systems.

    This well-established, cutting-edge business with a global client base, is actively delivering a strategic growth plan enabling expansion into new markets with a committed strategy to green energy.

    Opportunity:

    To support this growth and with the potential to be a successor to the Director, our client is looking to employ the expert skills of a technically savvy and qualified Technical Sales Manager or Technical Sales / Project Engineer.

    Based on site at the Head Office in Greater Manchester, working closely with the Group Director, this responsible and challenging role will entail regular international travel, particularly to the USA.

    Objectives:

    Develop existing client relationships whilst penetrating new markets on a global basis, including a specific focus on North America.

    Gaining a thorough understanding of clients' markets and needs, staying updated on industry trends, regulations and best practices.

    Recommending and attending exhibitions and conferences to develop the company products.

    Building and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

    Evaluating bids, coordinating bid submissions and working collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues across the globe in design, sales, finance, supply chain and production in order to deliver the right solutions.

    Your Skills & Experience:

    A willingness to travel internationally, having demonstrated a successful technical sales career, gained within electrical / mechanical / mega projects / construction projects / installation / infrastructure or new build projects.

    Possessing proven electrical systems or products expertise (knowledge of busbars and/or conductor rails is highly desirable), you are now looking to advance your career into a global sales position.

    A qualification in electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering, ideally, although not essentially, at degree level.

    Possessing a desire to proactively contribute to the future success of the business, be technically and commercially credible with the ability to engage, influence and build trusting relationships.

    Some exposure to commercial bid preparation or tendering in response to RFQ's

    Knowledge gained within the construction / hydrogen / wind / solar / metals / electrical sectors is of particular interest to our client.

    A positive attitude, combined with the passion to bring ideas and solutions to the table, along with flexibility, adaptability, and resilience to overcome obstacles, implement change and focus on improvements will ensure success in this role.
