Data Protection Engineer - Veeam | VMCE | Backup
Remote (UK) with occasional travel for meetings.
£45k - £50k


This is a newly created, Data Protection Engineer role with a leading Cloud-specialist MSP in the Midlands, designed for talented Veeam Engineer to manage end-to-end Backup Trials for their customers providing pre-sale technical support and demonstrations.


This Managed Services business are a highly-established Technology group with over 20 years experience supporting National clients Infrastructure, providing cloud services such as: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Hosted Applications, Desktop as a Service(DaaS), Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS), Online Backup and Recovery (Backup as a Service - BaaS), and, Managed and Professional Services.


This is a pre and post sales engineering role, working with the sales team to design solutions for customers, before collaborating with the Professional Services (Technical) Consultants to onboard these customers.

You will work as part of a talented PlatformsTeam, who are responsible for developing data protection services.


This position would suit an experienced, infrastructure / Cloud Engineer who has ideally worked in an MSP or consultancy environment at 3rd line level (or above) and is comfortable client-facing.


You'll be a Veeam Backup expert - ideally certified in VMCE or VMCA - and also have a background supporting nd designing solutions in VMware, Hyper-v, VBR and Cloud connect.

A solid understanding of storage technologies along with other backup technologiessuch as Commvault, Asigra etc, would also really help, but not essential.
