Description
We are looking to recruit a Retail Catering Team Leader to join our team in Manston.

You will effectively manage within budgetary constraints, using all pre-populated recipes and allergen content in production recipes as per the OCS Kafoodle RMU system and maximising profitable sales by the introduction & maintenance of food service brands.

You will also continuously develop and improve food quality and hygiene standards across all areas as well as the preparation and service of all restaurant & hospitality requirements.

You will need to have a full UK driving licence as you will be required to drive as part of this role in a company commercial vehicle.


Main roles and responsibilities
Deliver a consistent level of service within the Company's standard & contract specification and agreed performance, qualitative and financial targets
Ensure all costs & expenditure is within the budgeted levels agreed between the Client & OCS.

Control all costs associated within your department including food production for breakfast, lunch, and supper for the migrant feeding areas.

Effectively manage the preparation and completion of menu planning, ordering & accurate stock control. Timely recording & remitting of all company HACCP information
Assist and support the Catering Manager & Lead chef with all mandatory HACCP and food safety recording in line with company policy

Comply with Company & statutory regulations relating to Food Safety, Health & Safety At Work, Cleanliness, COSHH, Fire & Accident Reporting.

Maintain all records in line with legislation and company policy.

Carry out on the job training in such areas as Food Safety, Health & Safety, Unit evacuation policy, dangerous equipment, and food hygiene.

To ensure the premises are left hygienically clean and tidy at the end of the shift.

To complete the Front of House checklists and to be fully prepared for the meal Services and liaise closely with the Head Chef/Kitchen Shift Leader daily regarding menus and portion sizes.


To succeed in this role you will need
Full UK driving licence
Must be a qualified chef with flair and imagination and a full craft background.
706/1/2 or equivalent
Food Hygiene Certificate - Level 2 (level 3 preferred)
Experience within catering environment gained in contract catering
