    Zenith People are working with our client who are looking to recruit an experience Health & Safety Officer on a permanent basis.

    Reporting into the Plant Manager, the main purpose of the role is to provide dedicated Health and Safety support across a busy Manufacturing Plant

    Main Duties & Responsibilities

    • Maintain the company Health and Safety and Environmental Management systems to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standard including updating and implementing policies and procedures when required
    • Review and update the legal register
    • Manage the risk assessment process
    • Oversee first aid arrangements
    • Organise and deliver training
    • Update HSE Metrics
    • Write and issue reports
    • Write and issue Health and Safety briefings
    • Carry out regular safety audits and tours
    • Carry out Health and Safety & Environmental monitoring and assessments
    • Chair health and safety meetings and issue minutes
    • Coordinate accident and incident investigations including maintaining logs, statistics and ensuring actions are complete
    • Liaise with the HSE and other regulatory bodies as required
    • Develop and run health and safety initiatives
    • Manage PPE
    • Oversee Contractors procedures and permits to work
    • Any other duties commensurate with the position as and when required.
