Our client is a world-renowned organisation who specialise in product and system innovation for the automotive arena, seeking to recruit an Electrical Systems Engineer EV to support the development of niche vehicles across several vehicle platforms.

As partof the client's vision, they are also seeking to build a new technical centre in the Warwick area that will be focused on delivering solutions across all areas of transportation, especially within future technology.

As an Electrical Systems Engineer EV you will:

  • Work with cross functionally teams to specify requirements for low voltage Electrical Systems across whole vehicle, responsible for the design, development, and integration of whole vehicle electrical systems for vehicle.
  • Evaluate, specify, and collaborate in the development of whole vehicle electrical system components for electrical and electronic control systems and their integration.
  • Support the integration team through the improvement of the vehicles to ensure any issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Deliver and support DVP at system and vehicle level respectively.
  • Manage commodities including supplier selection & management, collaborate to maximise performance, minimise cost and maximise consistency.
  • Project responsibility for problem resolution including management of issues to closure, taking responsibility for verification & validation activities including FMEAs, ISO26262 functional safety and functionality tests throughout the development lifecycle.

As an Electrical Systems Engineer EV you will need:

  • Electrical, software, electronics or automotive degree qualified (2.1 or higher preferred)
  • Experience in specifying requirements for Electrical Systems
  • Able to manage suppliers to deliver specified products.
  • Knowledge and understanding of electrical circuit / PCB schematics.
  • Automotive requirement management experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of DFMEA process, DFM and DFA.
  • An appreciation of development against ISO26262 for functional safety
  • Understanding of structured problemsolving methods
  • Significant electrical development or integration of system/component delivery.
  • Experience with automotive manufacturing or EVs is a bonus.
