We're looking for UX/UI designer to join a team working towards Net Zero.

By supporting innovators to commercialise and deliver the future of energy in the UK this team is accelerating our progress towards a low carbon future, and you could be a part of it.

What you'll be doing
As a UX/UI Designer you'll be sat within a team of experts including service design, user research and insight.

You'll be designing and improving services that are helping innovate the energy industry with a focus on creating a more sustainable and inclusiveenergy sector through innovation.

As part of a small(ish) team your role will be multidisciplinary.

You'll work with product managers and development teams as well as a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders within clients (and internally at the org) on end-to-end product designprojects.

Day to day you'll be focussed more on UX outputs and activities than UI but it's useful if you have some high-fidelity design experience and are able to prototype to a good standard and carry through to UI design, ready for developer handoff when needed.

You'llhave plenty of great user research from the insight team and use this to plan and improve user journeys across a range of digital services.

This is an exciting role for someone that wants to have a positive impact on the climate and on people's lives through their work.

What experience you'll need:

  • Previous experience in a UX role that's involved working from concept to delivery.
  • A good knowledge of the product design process, comfortable working with product people, developers, research experts and technical stakeholders from varied backgrounds.
  • Can demonstrate good prototyping and UI design skills.
  • Excited by complexity. You don't need to be an expert in energy but curiosity and an interest will go a long way.
  • Happy to work from Birmingham ideally 1 day a week.

What you'll get in returnAs well as joining a team on a mission you can really believe in, you'll enjoy flexible working, 28 days holiday (+bank holidays), bonus scheme, an enhanced pension scheme, generous maternity and paternity and more.
