About the role


As an Asset Care Technician, you'll play a pivotal role within our dedicated team by supporting the continuous improvement and problem-solving activities and effectiveness at our Guinness packaging site at Marshalls Road, Belfast.


You'll perform planned and reactive maintenance activities on our high-speed packaging line and provide site mechanical support as well as be involved in continuous improvement projects on site to maximise other engineering equipment and quality.


You will be attending regular engineering meetings whilst proactively requesting maintenance actions that arise from inspection/observation of the plant conditions in your area.

You'll also be working with the engineering apprentices on their training activities.

Continuously aim for next level of performance with a clear vision aligned with Diageo standards and manufacturing excellence.


Health and safety compliance is key, and you'll be at the forefront of making sure this is monitored alongside other KPI's and targets.

This role will cover a Monday - Friday working week.


About you
For this role you must have a recognised Mechanical apprenticeship with a minimum of 5 years' experience.


It would be beneficial if you had significant technical and operational experience of industrial machinery used in a manufacturing/production environment.

Basic fabrication skills are required.


You'll have the ability to identify and repair complex machine faults independently and understands asset performance and maintenance philosophy with excellent process improvement skills.

Demonstratable excellent interpersonal skills, to communicate and liaise effectively with colleagues at all levels and departments of the organisation.
