Tower Hamlets is on the lookout for a Senior Youth Worker who's ready to make a difference in the lives of young people across the borough of Tower Hamlets.

As a senior youth worker the requirements of this role is to work 35 hours a week, between the hours of 2pm - 9pm from Monday to Saturday as part of the rota.
The Exploitation Integrated Detach team is a multi-agency approach to harm outside the home and transitional safeguarding which aims to create greater safety and support for young people in the community.
As a Senior Youth Worker, you'll need to have a can-do attitude and a passion for engaging within the community and providing a creative 21st-century youth work offer for children and young people.
We're looking for someone who young people want to be around - approachable, understanding, and able to inspire and motivate them to achieve their goals.
Senior Youth Work Leads have overall responsibility for leading the effective day-to-day operational delivery and youth work practice of highly effective and impact borough wide exploitation integrated detached team.
Here are the key responsibilities of the role:
Lead on initiating and developing effective engagement work with community organisations and groups in the borough.
Manage a team of youth support workers and promote a positive team culture.
Work collaboratively with others to deliver the best possible outcomes for young people.
Proactively identify and address challenges that arise.
Implement and monitor quality assurance and safeguarding policies and procedures.
Work with partners and stakeholders to develop and deliver innovative projects and programmes.
We're also looking for someone who meets the following requirements:
Some experience in youth work or a willingness to develop professionally.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure.
A commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
